Just about every state in USA has a Gay Campground. Some have five or six, check out Gaycampers.com. I have been to several over the past 15 years. They have changed greatly from circle jerks around a camp fire in the woods , to heated swimming pools, log cabins, B&B's, community interaction, pride events, concerts, and always maintaining friendship building. Unlike a gay resort or hotel, the main reason to visit a gay campground is to make Friends. Here are a few camps I've been to, and highlights of the visit. ( i have been to a few BAD ones, but they change ownership often, so i will never mention the bad ones, they may have changed.)

1) SAWMILL, one hour west of Orlando Florida. Year round fun. Permanent village with coffee shop, dance bar, resturaunt, leather goods store. The theme weekends here with south florida bears are great! Dungeon parties, leather fetish weekends, country singing, line danceing, drag shows, all under the stars. Trails off into the woods along a wide slow rolling river are for sexual encounters.Camp ground is mixed Gay Lesbian, and Pool is clothing optional. Many cabins and great open areas for tents. The food is GREAT, breakfast to burgers to Grilled diners at sunset.
