Just about every state in USA has a Gay Campground. Some have five or six, check out Gaycampers.com. I have been to several over the past 15 years. They have changed greatly from circle jerks around a camp fire in the woods , to heated swimming pools, log cabins, B&B's, community interaction, pride events, concerts, and always maintaining friendship building. Unlike a gay resort or hotel, the main reason to visit a gay campground is to make Friends. Here are a few camps I've been to, and highlights of the visit. ( i have been to a few BAD ones, but they change ownership often, so i will never mention the bad ones, they may have changed.)

Paul & Jan, Gay couple together since 1978. Open relationship, We grew up during the 60's, Free Love, Love Rock , Alternate Site, Nude Beach, We love Milwaukee. Family has always been important to us, My Dad is 95 in 2009 and lives with us. Jan's Mom lived with us till she passed. 7 brothers and sisters, 35 nieces and nephews and growing. We belong to a 40 year old dinner club. P Q 's, ten gay men that get together once a month to celebrate food and friends. I go camping often. Jan wont sleep in a tent anymore, so i rent a cabin when he comes with. I've been HIV POZ since 1995. It has taken us down many roads, not all bad. Jan is HIV Negative, He has had to go through many changes with me. We are stronger because of this.
